JM: Did you have regular access to telephones?
edward: yes i think after 6:00 am and before 10:00 pm
Joe: yea between 6 am and 10 pm... but the jail will
shut them off sometimes for random reasons
JM: What types of charges applied for calling people? How much money would you guess the average inmate spends per week on phone calls?
edward: two dollars and forty five cents for twenty
minutes
Joe: its expensive. about 2.50 per call
JM: Did you need to buy phone cards to call out?
edward: if the number you were calling didnt accept
blocked calls
Joe: not anymore. only people on the outside can set
up accounts so you can call just them.
JM: Did the jail screen your calls?
edward: i believe so yes
Joe: they can if they want.

Hello,
I would like to speak to my brother! I'll set up an account for him, but I would like to speak to him before I do that. He's diagnosed with bipolar disorder and anxiety disorder. I believe he has had suicidal ideation for the past year AT LEAST! He has unemployment due him, as well, needs to pay child support. I'm in Massachusetts, and would like to help.
